Attorney General George Masaju has said the referendum on the Proposed Constitution will be held on April 30, as planned. According to the AG, civic education on the proposed constitution and campaigns will go together since opinion polls don’t restrict the two to be jointly held. Masaju said this when briefing journalists soon after his meeting with editors of various media outlets in Dar es Salaam yesterday. He said the registration exercise has already started and is progressing well. He noted that the government considers the referendum as an importance matter, insisting that copies of the proposed constitution have started being distributed.
